The Kris Yip Memorial Fondo is on a mission to ensure that Kris's legacy shines on, raising awareness about heart disease and reminding everyone that it can affect anyone, regardless of their fitness level.
The inaugural ride on June 24, 2023, was a significant success, and we're gearing up for next year's fondo on June 22, 2024. Organized through the Kris Yip Memorial Fund, the event has a dual purpose: fostering community ties via cycling and amplifying the significance of heart health care in Northern BC.
Participants will trace one of Kris's cherished routes to Eaglet Lake, initiating and concluding downtown on Canada Games Way. Enriched with support vehicles, on-site mechanics, course marshals, and aid stations to ensure a fun and safe ride. Concluding with an after-party at Canada Games Plaza so you can unwind, refuel, and share stories. Expect food trucks, music, vendors, and good vibes!
